We sometimes use real-life events to inspire our work, and what has more impact than the birth of a child. Based on a real real-life need, we developed a Bluetooth LE powered diaper wetness sensor and the mobile app to go along with it.

The sensor could be attached to the front of a diaper, and a soft conductive thread lead would detect wetness in the diaper. The app would notify the parent that the diaper was wet, and track wetness events over time.
