Apiograph was live a visualization of a bee hive's pollination activity. It was installed in the *new* gallery in Toronto in July of 2008.

In this project we installed an actual bee-hive in the galley, with mesh passageways leading to the adjacent garden so that the bees could come and go as they please. Flowers in the garden were lightly dusted with a fluorescent tracking powder, which allowed us to track which species of flowers the bees were pollinating. Based on which flowers we detected the bees visiting, as well as the genetic code for those flowers, we would dynamically generate flowers in a virtual world that was projected inside the gallery.
